Are Australian Employees Staying With Their Employers Longer?
Looks like there’s been a change for Australian employees. A surprising shift towards increased length of employment tenure shows 16.7% of employees have been with the same employer for ten to twenty years. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

There is some truth to that but there’s an opposite trend as well. In fact, the figures suggest Australians are increasingly staying with the same employer for longer.
This week new laws for long service leave take effect in Victoria, allowing employees to take long service leave after seven years rather than 10. In NSW it remains at 10 years, though employees leaving the company are paid out their accrued entitlements after seven years.
